Prayers for strength

Prayers for strength to keep going, through illness, pressure or a long season of waiting.

Strength for the weary

But those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.Isaiah 40:31 (World English Bible)

God, I am tired in my body and in my soul. I’ve been running on empty.

Renew my strength the way only You can. Help me stop and wait on You instead of pushing through alone. Carry me through today, one step at a time.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Courage for today

Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you.Isaiah 41:10 (World English Bible)

Lord, I am facing something that scares me. I want to run from it.

But You are with me. Strengthen me, help me, hold me up. Let me walk into today knowing I am not walking alone.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Strength renewed in You

But those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.Isaiah 40:31 (World English Bible)

Father, whatever this day asks of me, let my strength begin with You. I do not want to depend only on my own resolve.

Renew my courage and help me use the energy I have wisely. Show me when to act, when to rest, and when to ask someone for help. Give me strength for the next faithful step.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Courage with an anxious heart

But those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.Isaiah 40:31 (World English Bible)

Father, I feel anxious and need strength for what is in front of me. Help me act without waiting for every anxious thought to disappear. Give me courage to do one useful thing, ask for support, and remember that I do not have to carry this alone.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Strength for what is real

But those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.Isaiah 40:31 (World English Bible)

Lord, anxiety pulls my energy in many directions. Help me gather it around what I can actually do today. Strengthen my attention, steady my breathing, and show me the next manageable action. Let accepting help become part of how I move forward.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Strength without pretending

But those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.Isaiah 40:31 (World English Bible)

Jesus, I feel sad. Give me strength that does not require pretending to be cheerful. Help me care for my basic needs, receive company if it would help, and take this day in small pieces. Let gentleness be part of how I endure.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Courage to reach out

But those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.Isaiah 40:31 (World English Bible)

Father, loneliness makes reaching out feel difficult. Give me strength to take a small step toward connection without asking one conversation to solve everything. Help me be patient with myself and others. Remind me that I am worthy of friendship and care.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Strength that includes rest

But those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.Isaiah 40:31 (World English Bible)

God, I am tired. Renew me without teaching me to ignore my limits. Help me conserve energy for what matters, let go of what can wait, and ask for practical help. Give me strength to rest as honestly as I work.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
