Prayers for your family

Prayers for the people closest to you: your children, your parents, your marriage and the home you share, each with a Bible verse.

A blessing over my family

The LORD bless you, and keep you. The LORD make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you. The LORD lift up his face toward you, and give you peace.Numbers 6:24–26 (World English Bible)

Father, I lift up my family to You, each one by name. Thank You for every expression of care and every good thing I can recognize in our lives.

Protect them. Draw them close to You. Where there is tension, bring peace. Where there is need, provide. Let our home be a place where Your love is felt.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Peace around my family

Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.John 14:27 (World English Bible)

Father, I bring my family before You and ask for peace in the matters on my heart. Guide the words we choose and the expectations we carry. Help me listen without assuming, care without controlling, and recognize when a little space would help.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Strength to care for family

But those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.Isaiah 40:31 (World English Bible)

God, give me strength for the family matters on my heart. Help me care without taking responsibility for every person’s choices. Show me where practical support would help. Let my love be patient, my boundaries clear, and my willingness to ask for help honest.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Faithful in my family role

But those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.Isaiah 40:31 (World English Bible)

Father, strengthen me for the part I can play in my family. Give me perseverance in ordinary acts of care and wisdom about what I cannot fix. Help me respect each person’s dignity and draw on support beyond my own resources.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Wisdom for family matters

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.James 1:5 (World English Bible)

Father, guide me in the family matters on my heart. Help me listen to each person rather than assume what they need. Show me how to offer care, respect a boundary, or ask a useful question. Let love become wise in practical ways.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Knowing my part in the family

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.James 1:5 (World English Bible)

Lord, give me clarity about my part in my family’s life. Help me distinguish responsibility from control and care from pressure. Guide the next conversation or decision. May I seek understanding and good counsel where a situation needs more than I can offer.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Forgiveness in family life

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.1 John 1:9 (World English Bible)

God, forgive the ways I have fallen short in my family. Help me recognize my part without excusing it or taking on what belongs to someone else. Show me where an apology or changed action would help. Let repair be patient, truthful, and respectful.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Grace for my part in the family

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.1 John 1:9 (World English Bible)

Father, I ask for forgiveness in the family matters I bring You. Help me be specific about what I need to change and gentle with the people involved. Give me courage to make amends where possible and wisdom to honor healthy boundaries.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
