When I feel alone
I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.Hebrews 13:5 (World English Bible)
Father, I feel unseen right now, and the quiet is heavy.
Remind me that I am never truly alone, that You are here in this room with me. Fill the empty places with Your presence, and open a door to real friendship and belonging.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
A quiet place with You
The LORD is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing.Psalm 23:1 (World English Bible)
Lord, be my shepherd in this moment. Gather my attention back to You and remind me that I am in Your care.
Lead me into a quiet trust that does not depend on knowing every answer. Help me release what belongs in Your hands and meet the rest of this day with a peaceful heart.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Strength while I feel alone
But those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.Isaiah 40:31 (World English Bible)
Lord, I feel lonely and ask for strength to stay open to life. Help me notice where welcome might be possible. Give me courage to ask for company or support, and patience when connection takes time. Keep me grounded in Your steady care.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Mercy while I feel alone
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.1 John 1:9 (World English Bible)
Father, I feel lonely and ask for Your forgiveness. Help me be honest about my actions without treating loneliness itself as a fault. Where I can make amends, guide me. Let Your mercy remind me that I remain worthy of care and connection.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Not alone, even now
Behold, the time is coming, yes, and has now come, that you will be scattered, everyone to his own place, and you will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.John 16:32 (World English Bible)
Jesus, You knew what it was to be left alone by friends, yet You said You were not alone because the Father was with You. In this lonely place, give me that same strength. Let the Father’s presence steady me from the inside. Make me strong enough to stay open to others without being desperate for them.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Discernment for a lonely heart
Turn to me, and have mercy on me, for I am desolate and afflicted.Psalm 25:16 (World English Bible)
Lord, I feel alone, and I am tempted to settle for any company at all. Turn to me and be gracious to me. Give me discernment about where to invest my heart. Help me recognize people who listen, keep their word and want my good, and grant me courage to keep showing up where real friendship can grow.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Forgiveness that feels lonely
If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.Romans 12:18 (World English Bible)
Father, I am trying to forgive, and it feels lonely, because forgiving does not always mean closeness returns. Some distance is wise, and I do not want loneliness to talk me out of it. Help me hold a forgiving heart and a safe boundary together. Fill the empty space with Your company and with people who are good for me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
A place for the lonely
God sets the lonely in families. He brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land.Psalm 68:6 (World English Bible)
Gracious God, thank You that You care for the lonely and make room for them. I feel that loneliness today, and I bring it to You with open hands. Thank You for every person who has made space for me, even briefly. Keep my heart from closing, and lead me toward the belonging You have in mind for me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
